Daily Prayer

“Therefore since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

Hebrews 12:1

Dear Heavenly Father,

We need perseverance to keep going. It is so easy to just give up alone without clinging to You and Your constant companionship. But we can choose to run our race with endurance with You by our side and a host of witnesses cheering us on. Thank You for asking us to co-labor with You to help build Your Kingdom. You need workers who will not grow weary of doing Your will on earth. The field is ready for harvest and You have given us the strength to finish the work You began in us. We will throw off the weight of sin from our past and set our eyes on You, Lord Jesus! We are running this race set before us with new hope and strength because we have Your living power of the Holy Spirit alive in us! We are alive and free indeed as we run with You!
