ARE YOU READY TO GIVE UP?
We can grow tired and weary of doing good and working hard. We can never please everyone and will not always win. When the going gets tough, it is harder to keep going. As we run our race, we will face struggles along the way and the temptation to quit can grow stronger. But our Lord will never quit on us! He is always with us, in the waiting and the working. He wants us to wait patiently upon Him so that He can exalt us at the proper time. God knows how it will all work out if we will keep faithfully working as He has called us. He hears our cries for help and will give us endurance to finish our race strong as we press on with Him! Press on to the prize of Jesus Christ!
Are you ready to quit? Is the work you are doing making you weary? Are you tired of doing good? Have you just about given up because you do not have the strength or will to press on? The Lord knows your heart and hears your cries for help. He is inclining His ear to you and wants to help you! In PSALM 40:1, there are words of encouragement just for you,
“I WAITED PATIENTLY FOR THE LORD; HE INCLINED TO ME AND HEARD MY CRY.”
The Lord hears your cries and sees your frustrations. He wants to give you all that you need to press on. Wait upon the Lord as you press in to His Word and Spirit. He is waiting for you to ask for help so that He can help you finish strong as you press on with the power and presence of Jesus Christ!
Dear Lord,
I need Your help to press on with the work You have given me. I will wait patiently upon You as I work each day. You are my strength when I am weak and my anchor of hope when I feel like giving up. I know that if I stay the course and work with You, I can keep going strong. If I go alone, I will eventually wear out. Thank You for lifting me up and giving me Your endurance for this race. I know that You are cheering me on as I run swiftly with Your power in my life! I will not give up, as I press on to the prize of my calling in Jesus Christ!
