DO YOU FEEL LONELY?

We have all felt alone at times in our lives. We may be surrounded by many friends, but still feel lonely. We might feel “lost” in the crowd around us. We might choose to isolate ourselves and turn away from opportunities to be with others. Or we might not choose to be alone, but have been simply been abandoned. Loneliness is a real emotion that we all experience. How do we cope with this feeling? Are we really all alone? Is there someone who will accept us and love us right where we are? What must we do to fight this feeling that creeps up in all of us? The good news is that we are not alone! There is someone who will love us and be with us always and will cure our loneliness! His name is JESUS!

Have you looked to Jesus for companionship? Have you invited Him to be active in your life so that He can heal you? You are not alone when Jesus is present in your life. When you let go of self and let Jesus in your life, He will meet you right where you need Him. He promises to never leave you or forsake you. He wants to be a bigger part of your everyday life where you have excluded Him. Invite Him into every part of you and see Him transform your loneliness into security by His encompassing and unconditional love! Let Him increase in your life knowing that He will be right by your side no matter what you face. You will not have to face anything by yourself once you make the choice to replace loneliness with the mighty presence of Jesus!

Dear Lord,

Thank You for the reminder in

JOHN 3:30, “HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE.” This truth is real in my life. Whenever I let you in more of my life and let go of trying to do things in my own, You give me more security. I do not have to feel lonely when You are present in my life. I can feel Your powerful presence working in and through me by the Holy Spirit present in me. Thank You for giving me the gift of Your presence. I am included in Your family and not excluded or isolated. You never abandon me or walk away. You love me and want more of me. I will walk away from loneliness and run to You so that You can increase in my life!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
