Daily Prayer

DO YOU HAVE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE WHO BRING YOU CLOSER TO CHRIST?

We all need to be loved and encouraged. We will find both as we come close to Christ. Our faith comes alive as we let the Spirit of God awaken us to new life. As we grow in faith through prayer and reading the Word of God, our relationship with Christ grows stronger. We need people in our lives who help us in our daily walk with the Lord. God intended for us to have family and friends who will stand by us and cheer us on.When we face challenges, uncertainty or times of pain and discouragement, these people will pray for us and help us press on with greater courage because they love God and love us! There are people God has placed in our lives to sharpen us. Find them and grow in grace and truth together!

Are you struggling alone and have isolated yourself from people who God intended to be close to you?Are you discouraged because you do not have anyone in your life challenging you to grow closer to Christ? Have you asked the Lord to show you these people? Seek the counsel and love of the Lord and ask Him to put these people in your life. He has given you family and friends who will sharpen you like iron sharpens iron to be the best you can be. There are people who love you and want you to help you. As you find these people, you will grow to be one who sharpens and encourages others. Find His love to give love. Start with the love of Christ and He will give you friends who will sharpen you!

Dear Lord,

I want to thank You for placing loving and encouraging people in my life! I am blessed beyond measure to know You and these people who stand beside me because they love You and love me. I want to grow in knowledge and grace as I grow closer to You. Help me to love and encourage others as I pray for them and sharpen them as You direct me. PROVERBS 27:17 gives me hope as I read,

“IRON SHARPENS IRON, AS ONE MAN SHARPENS ANOTHER.”

Thank You for giving me iron sharpening believers so that we can pray for each other and build one another up!

In Jesus name,

Amen
